Sundial wasn't planned, but it feels like it was always meant to be. As we navigated the early days of our empty-nester phase, I was working as a barista at a local coffee shop. When the owner asked if I'd like to buy it shortly after starting, a new dream was born.
As we created our vision for the shop, we knew we wanted to build a place that felt like home—a place where people could slow down and connect. To us, home is all about love and family. The name Sundial comes from a beautiful, happy memory: our honeymoon at the Sundial Beach Resort in Sanibel Island, Florida. It's where our own "happily ever after" began, and we hope this space can be a part of your story too.

Hi, we are Vic & Bridget Leiviska! We are best friends, lovers of Jesus, parents of two of the coolest “20 somethings” ever, and we also have our dream job of owning Sundial Coffee & Tea where we really get to know our neighbors.
We opened Sundial in 2019. Our original location was a small, refurbished bait and tackle shop. We grew slowly as our locals found us and loved our little shop, and our coffee & tea. In 2022, we were ecstatic about relocating to Surf City, just off of Hwy 50 on the mainland side of the iconic high-rise bridge.
In 2023, we opened the Sundial Bakery right inside our shop! We now have a full staff of bakers who come in early every morning to bake fresh muffins, scones, and cake pops… just to name a few of our tasty treats.

The Signature Sundial
"The Sundial" is our signature drink. We start with a slightly sweet iced caramel latte—rich, smooth, and just the right amount of sweet.
But what truly sets it apart is the cloud-like coconut cold foam and flaky salt that crowns every cup. Made fresh to order, this cold foam and salt is a tropical whisper on your way to Topsail Island.
